To left of bed is standing Francesco Antommarchi (1789-1838) surgeon and anatomist, born in Corsica, studied medicine at Pisa, surgery under Mascagni. To right kneeling is Archibald Arnott (1771-1855), Surgeon to 20th Foot regiment. Both attended Napoleon in last years and post-mortem.
